By doing so, you send out positive vibrations. When you complain to God or even others, you are sending out negative vibrations.
As the Divine Power flows through you; hence, you need to express love to yourself as well. When you are able to love yourself and treat yourself well, you feel good about yourself and develop faith in yourself. When you feel good about yourself, you are able to be good or nice towards others no matter how they behave. By doing so, you send out positive vibrations. When you criticize or compare, either yourself or others, you send out negative vibrations.
When you send out positive/good vibrations, you attract positive/good experiences and; and similarly, when you send out negative/bad vibrations, you attract negative/bad experiences.
